Agriculture

Agriculture is one of the top economic drivers for the seven counties that make up Senate District 1. We need someone in the Senate that is knowledgeable about the Ag industry and will stand up and defend northeast Colorado from legislative attacks. Agriculture is a part of my daily life - I live it. I have spent the last six years in office fighting against proposed legislation that would devastate the Ag industry in northeast Colorado, including initiative 16 last year. More than that, I understand that to prevent future attacks on Agriculture, we need to educate our urban cousins on how our industry works. Over the last few years, I have arranged educational field trips for urban lobbyists, Press, and members of the governor's cabinet. I will work EVERY DAY at the Capitol to protect our economy and our way of life!
